Eco Friendly in Morocco
The Kasbah Bab Ourika, situated on a remote hilltop outside Marrakesh, offers a supremely stylish way to soothe both conscience and soul. It has been built using traditional Berber techniques, but with eco additions such as solar panels and a “biodigester” that provide electricity to the local village as well as the hotel. Rooms have real fires, battered leather furniture, chic Moorish throws and sunken baths from which you can watch the sun slink behind the Atlas Mountains. There’s even a Michelin-starred chef at the stove.
